The Spin Cycle

Elements of Donald Trump’s June 2015 campaign announcement statement, his July 21, 2016 Republican National Convention Nomination acceptance speech, and his August 2, 2016 interview with The Washington Post boiled down to the bare essentials.

People are falling asleep. But in two seconds, they give me whatever I wanted to make America weaker. One more message to sacrifice on the altar of a country that’s unsalvageable. We need somebody that can repeal that language and look, you never know. We don’t need anything. We must abandon the failed, incredible airports and look at that border with Saudi Arabia. Nobody, nobody will have a clue. Nobody. Right now, we have all the cards, but we would never build an ocean. And they wanted to make sure it got built. I don’t want it. Just can’t happen. These are the facts: communities want disastrous deals. You’ll be able to choose your own nuclear weapons again and don’t watch CNN, anymore. Because we have no protection and we have no competence, we don’t know what’s happening to our proven vetting mechanisms. I think I am a large accounting firm or where they come from, ask Boeing. Sure. Believe me, folks. Believe me, I will immediately terminate freedom and independence, immediately. But I feel good about the ratings, my words, my power, my audit—my returns are four feet tall. Massive. You see the crowds? I did. My opponent will never meet with them, or share in their pain. Not good. She’s gonna lose, she’s small potatoes, $18 trillion in debt, $5 billion website, payback. I am your voice of websites, I have them all over the world, per capita. Get the oil. Get rid of the economists—they’re rapists. You can do both. But to do that, we must send signals to Putin, send some real junk, become Greece.

Nobody can do that like me.
