I’m Very Blessed

Rufus Wainwright: We don’t spend a tremendous amount of time together, and our relationship can explode at times; it can get slightly fraught occasionally, so we have to be careful.

Vaginal Davis: People thought we were being campy, but I hate camp.

Wainwright: In fact, arguably, that kind of dichotomy is the basis of my material.

Davis: Shortly after that, Paramount did a cartoon version of it with Debbie Reynolds as Charlotte.

Wainwright: But I do subscribe to this concept that a human being is composed of many beings, or many souls.

Davis: Especially when you're covering them in Aunt Jemima Light Syrup and putting maraschino cherries between the toes.

Wainwright: Oh, that’s very sweet! (Laughter) I’m very blessed.

Davis: But not always. Sometimes you just get sick of yourself.

Wainwright: Yes, yes. I’m highly flawed as well.

Davis: Big, industrial-strength-sized cans of lube, and dildos of every size and color.

Wainwright: I’m in Los Angeles.

Davis: I do miss it.

Wainwright: Nobody knows where it is.

Davis: At the Milch Gallery in London in '95. So who knows?

Wainwright: And then I’m completely lost, and I’m just sort of shooting in the dark.
